The ‘future’ is without a doubt Catherine’s second home. Her seemingly tireless creative brain combined with her philosophical background ensures that she is able to continuously challenge you by posing ‘in-depth’ questions while putting forward the most original ideas at the same time. After working with Catherine you’ll see the world in a way you never saw it before.

ANDERLANDE,
A BOUTIQUE FUTURES PLAYGROUND…

Hi, my name is Catherine. I’m a Futurist with over 10 years experience, both as an independent thinker and doer and as part of larger futurist collectives. Currently I research and teach within the context of research center ‘Open Time | Applied Futures Research’ at Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts, while also part-time writing a PhD dissertation in Futures Studies.

Anderlande is my Boutique Futures Playground, dedicated to delving into better futures and braver worlds and specialized in exploring and navigating the paradigm shift which is changing the very fabric of our society.

From co-creative futures processes, academic research to crafting speculative experiences or delivering keynote talks… multiple media and methodologies are at our disposal for navigating this new world awesomeness.

Before joining Open Time, Catherine previously worked at Pantopicon, an Antwerp based international studio for Design & Foresight and was a member of the Global Scanning Network of ‘The Copenhagen Institute For Futures Studies’, Europe's oldest and one of Scandinavian's largest Futures Think Tanks - founded in 1970 by Professor Thorkil Kristensen, former OECD Secretary-General, Danish Minister of Finance and member of the Club of Rome.
